Opferanode
Sacrificial anode products are widely used in the marine environment for catholic protection of ship hulls, ballast tanks, jetties, wharves, etc.
Our Marine Aluminium anodes are made to the internationally accepted Aluminium - Zinc - Indium compositions and typically have an open circuit potential of -1.07V or more negative with reference to a Silver-Silver Chloride reference electrode and an electrochemical capacity of 2500 amp-hours per kg or higher.
The marine Zinc anodes are generally of the widely used US-MIL-18001 specifications. These anodes typically have an open circuit potential of 0.95V or more negative with reference Ag-AgCl reference electrode and an electrochemical capacity of 780 amps-hours per kg or higher.
In addition WE ALSO MAKE A UNIQUE ECO FRIENDLY RANGE of Cadmium free Zinc anodes that also perform better than the conventional Zinc anodes at higher operating temperatures.
All the above anodes are offered in a wide variety of sizes and weights with weld on, clamp-on and bolt on types of inserts for fixing to the structure to be protected.
Our range of off-shore anodes are made from low-impurity Aluminium and are offered as large weight 'weight' anodes with pipe cores for protecting off-shore platforms and structures or as bracelet anodes for sub-sea pipeline protection. We an also provide segmented bracelet anodes for retrofitting on existing pipelines and structures.
